PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Independence Stand-Up Walker™ had an immediate impact on Lewy’s quality of life and freedom from its assistance. He realized quickly the potential this device could also offer to others with similar physical limitations.

In speaking with several medical providers and organizations who focus on providing rehabilitative assistance, it became clear that the Independence™ had the potential to restore confidence and improve patient outcomes among (but not limited to) the following benefits:

Obesity

Individuals who are unable to exercise due to lack of assistance, this device would allow them to support themselves in an upright position.

Stroke Survivors

Individuals who have lost minor functionality of at least one arm will be able to use the device which in turn, could increase the rate of recovery.

Amputees

Individuals who have lost a limb, or those beginning to work with a prosthetic could strengthen the remaining limbs with the use of this device. It can also aid in taking the pressure off the prosthetic until therapy is completed.

Complex Neurological Diagnoses

Individuals whose needs are not met within the current device spectrum will have new opportunities for mobility.

HOW IT’S DIFFERENT

When individuals need stability when walking, the traditional options are crutches, a cane, or a waist-high walker, but each of these options come with significant drawbacks. Crutches can be painful and extremely awkward to manage, where canes and waist-high walkers cannot provide the right support if balance were lost and promote bad posture.

What if an individual has limited use of hands or arms? Suddenly these options are no longer viable, leaving the individual in need of something that can support their body. The Independence™  helps solves these drawbacks by providing the user stability through the armpits high-frames, allowing their arms to hang by their side and free to move.

EMPOWERING YOUNG PATIENTS TO MOVE WITH CONFIDENCE

We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to our range of mobility solutions: the Independence™ Children’s Walker! Designed with young patients in mind, this device offers the same level of support and stability as the adult walker, empowering children to move with confidence and independence.

With adjustable features and an ergonomic design, the Independence™ Children’s Walker prioritizess comfort and safety while promoting mobility. Whether at home or outdoors, this walker is tailored to meet the unique needs of children, granting them the freedom to explore and engage in everyday activities.

EASE OF TRANSPORT AND STABILITY

This revolutionary walker is designed with joy and change in mind. To accomplish this, our device has a tubular frame for easy transport and storage with a vertically and horizontally tapered pole (narrower at the top, both in width and depth), which inherently adds stability.

WHEELS DESIGNED FOR ALL MOVEMENT

The Independence™ is designed with large diameter pivoting wheels that help the device easily roll over uneven floors or gaps in tile without catching, which gives the user confidence and keeps the device upright.

A SIMPLE DESIGN WITH ALL PEOPLE IN MIND

This walker was designed with the user first in mind. Because of this, we included height-adjustable armpit braces to accommodate the comfort and fit for a wider range of users.
